A passionate lifelong educator, Jack teaches instrumental technique at the double bass and bass guitar, and teaches musicianship, improvisation, rhythm, and music theory for players of any instrument. For ensembles of any size from two performers upwards, Jack also offers coaching for chamber music and popular styles of all kinds.

In addition to maintaining a private studio in Brooklyn, New York, Jack has taught at New York University's Steinhardt school and the Charles River Creative Arts Program.
